Find Alignment and Balance with Yoga.  Yoga and Essential Oils can be combined together for some strong emotional and physical benefits. We can find alignment with balancing yoga poses paired with essential oils.  When we apply essential oils to skin, diffuse them, or drink them, we are taking the plants natural defense system for our own benefit. Aromatically, essential oils can directly affect the airways. It can affect our moods and emotions, and the aroma can purify the air. When used topically, essential oils can be applied directly to a specific area. When oils are ingested, they can directly support the digestive system and our immune system.

How to Find Alignment and Balance with Yoga Practice

Let’s have an alignment and balance with yoga and oils experience today!  Put a few drops of Grapefruit oil (paid link) in a cup to sip on.  Grapefruit will clear the kidneys, lymphatic system, and vascular system.  It will also bring a joyful, positive mood to your practice.  Place a few drops of Cypress oil (paid link) on the top of your mat.  Cypress is beneficial to the respiratory system and is the oil of motion and flow.  Get rid of those stagnant energies!

Lay in savasana and place Frankincense oil (paid link) to your forehead, back, and neck.  This calms the nervous system and assists those feeling vulnerable to feel protected. Begin ujjayi breath.

Apply Marjoram (paid link) to your neck, shoulders and ankles.  This helps relieve discomfort of joint stiffness and muscle tension.  Marjoram is the oil of connection and trust to the self and others. Enjoy strong standing poses and vigorous vinyasa.  Dancing Warrior can be completed as a flow or slower to isolate each pose and its benefits. It can help you to feel alignment and balance with yoga practice.

Sit in Baddha Konasana and apply Deep Blue Blend (paid link) to your lower back, spine, and side body.  This will soothe the back, neck, and shoulders.  It will make your feel like surrendering to the body.

Move into a twist followed by Navasana and place Balance blend (paid link) on the third eye.  You will feel the strength of your core and twist out any back pain.  The oil will aid in harmonizing body systems and promote grounding.  It is calming and strengthens the connection to the lower body.
